Origins

After being forced to retire from football at an early age due to health reasons, Ramy "Fr0m 0 2 Her0" al-Qasabi spent most of his time hanging out in cyber cafes and trying out different games. He was especially selective about game graphics and length, which led him to gravitate towards League of Legends.

This was back when Moscow 5 was a dominant force with a massive following, igniting Ramy’s passion for competitive play. He was specifically influenced by Alex Ich’s streams, which further proved that this career line can be sustained as not only a hobby but also a source of income.

Ramy, therefore, set his goal, and once the Challenger rank was announced, he gave his 110% to attain it. He even spent three full days at the cyber cafe where he played, focusing solely on becoming the best. His unrelenting dedication paid off during the early stages of Season 4, when he became the first player in Egypt to achieve this remarkable feat.

Competitive Experience

Fueled by the support of his community, Ramy progressed to the next step of his journey: engaging in competitive play. His first attempt resulted in qualifying for the PLG finals in Dubai, which he unfortunately could not travel to. He was afterward approached by the then-emerging organization Anubis Gaming to try out for their League of Legends team, with which he won multiple tournaments.

In 2016, he was brought back to the scene by the Gamers’ Lounge Summer Cup, which was sponsored by Egypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports as part of the World Championship Qualification. He competed in front of a crowd of over 3,000 people, a moment that transcended all expectations and made him all the more hungry to win this tournament and represent his country in Indonesia.

Ramy won the GLSC final and realized then that he wanted to commit seriously to this passion. Yet, his bad luck struck again, keeping him from traveling. The unfortunate turn of events did not deter him from his aspiration, and his community once again did not hold back their support.

Ramy set aside his past frustrations and chased a long-held dream of his in 2017: winning PLG. He joined Free Elo, a Saudi team that was hastily assembled and not entirely prepared. He and his team still took a leap of faith and made it all the way to the final against NASR Esports. They performed quite well and stomped the final game. However, a small stumble from their side cost them the title, leaving Ramy in utter disbelief.

In 2018, it was time for him to persevere once more as he accepted an offer from Osh-Tekk Warriors, the prime team for all professional players at the time. This turned out to be Ramy’s most successful year, as he won around 12 tournaments and qualified for the PLG Nationals final in Abu Dhabi. By then, he was haunted by the traumatizing subject of traveling and did not carry much hope. He had already missed over five finals due to his inability to travel. However, the tides turned in his favor and he was finally able to attend his first-ever LAN tournament. The cherry on top was that he at last put a PLG title to his name, following it with the PLG Grand Slam title as well.

After taking a well-deserved break, it was time for Nexus. Ramy had lost his spot on his previous team and was doing all he could to join another one. At the very last moment, Divine Vendetta approached him, and he ended up securing a decent third place at the main event.

Ramy then proceeded to join the Egyptian powerhouse RA’AD, with whom he faced and overcame multiple challenges to finish third in Season 2 of the IAC Champions League 2021.

His journey there didn’t last long as he split ways with RA’AD to join Geekay Esports as a substitute jungler. He didn’t play as many games but still managed to win Season 3 of the IAC Champions League in the same year.

Memories

With the long journey he’s had within the League of Legends world, Ramy has experienced many pleasant moments and those that weren’t as pleasant.

We can all imagine his disappointment when he won GLSC in 2016, earning the chance to represent his country at the IESF in Indonesia, only to be unable to travel. It’s bittersweet that such a significant moment in his career turned into one of both joy and sorrow.

This scenario was repeated with other tournaments, such as PLG, and Ramy had to relive this disheartening outcome for more than four times. He struggled with it and anxiously anticipated it in every tournament he participated in.
