Origins

Driven to League of Legends by A Twist of Fate and especially mesmerized by Katarina’s fighting finesse, HebaT’Allah “Violetism” Walid first spawned on the Rift in 2014.

After many queues, she felt a sense of belonging to a community that’s heard and appreciated and could see that growth in the realm of Runeterra is solely based on skill and determination. That is why League of Legends became part of her daily life, and there, she created lifetime relationships and unlocked numerous opportunities.

Heba soon found herself intrigued by the gaming events that were gaining popularity at the time in Egypt, featuring not only competitive play but also the creativity of cosplay shows. The inspiration for her first character naturally came from the League of Legends world, as she decided to cosplay Diana, the Scorn of the Moon, at the Gamers’ Lounge Summer Cup in 2016.

Heba's frequent presence at similar events helped her garner support and recognition from her local community. In return, she decided to engage in their activities and build stronger connections with them. This led her to collaborate with Anas Amin and assume the role of an administrator for League of Legends Arabic, one of the largest Facebook groups and communities for LoL in the MEA region.

For her, this was an opportunity to encourage female players to take on a more active role within the community, share their experiences, and connect with others who share the same passion. This initiative allowed her to become even more involved within the community and consider pursuing a path in streaming and content creation with their blessing and support.

With the Middle East server launch, Heba sees this as the perfect chance for her and her female counterparts to seriously consider aiming for higher ranks and competitive appearances and unleash their hidden skills and talents.

Competitive Experience

Heba took a shot at competitive gaming by forming a team called “Whatever”, which reflected their initial goal of simply enjoying the experience and having fun no matter what the outcome might be. However, after winning their first game, she and her team began to take the endeavor more seriously and dedicated more time to practice.

In 2019, they participated in Insomnia, their first time competing on stage at an event of that scale. Heba was the team’s midlaner and captain, making sure to keep her team’s spirits high and fired up on stage during this unforgettable experience.

Memories

Heba’s fondest memory was attending the Esports World Cup in Riyadh this year and witnessing the legendary players battle it out in person. For her, and perhaps every LoL player, Faker and T1 represent the epitome of League’s esports legacy. Thus, being in close proximity to those players was a priceless experience that she will forever treasure.

Her second-best memory was meeting the requirements for LoL’s partnership program and sharing that exciting news with her community.

Her most challenging memory evokes a mix of feelings and might not have been entirely bad. It was when she first cosplayed Diana, exposing her to a barrage of negative comments, which even spilled into her games. However, all was not lost, as she received a wealth of genuinely positive and supportive comments that helped her counteract all the negativity and shift her focus.
